Rules and Objectives

Everything that applies to a GenZ Instant Funded account, from risk limits to payouts.

Daily Loss Limit — 10%

The Daily Loss Limit is the maximum amount you are allowed to lose within a single trading day. Your account's equity or balance must never fall below 10% of the account size, measured from the higher of the day's starting balance or starting equity.

This rule is monitored in real time and includes both closed losses and floating losses from open positions. If your account exceeds the Daily Loss Limit at any time it is a hard breach, and the account is permanently terminated.

How daily loss is calculated

  • Daily Loss Limit: 10% of your account size.
  • Reference value: the higher of your starting balance or starting equity at the beginning of the trading day.
  • Both balance and equity are monitored throughout the day.
  • Floating losses from open trades are included in the calculation.

Example

Account size: $10,000

Start of day — balance $10,000, equity $10,500

Reference value = $10,500

Daily Loss Limit = $1,000

Maximum allowed drawdown: $10,500 − $1,000 = $9,500

If your equity or balance falls below $9,500 at any point during the day, the account is breached and terminated.

Important

The Daily Loss Limit resets at the beginning of each new trading day, based on the higher of your starting balance or starting equity. All open positions and floating losses are included in the calculation.

Maximum Loss Limit — 40% (Trailing)

The Maximum Loss Limit is a trailing drawdown set at 40% of the initial account size. It trails your highest recorded balance as your account grows.

Once your account reaches 10% profit the trailing drawdown stops, and the Maximum Loss Limit is permanently locked at your initial account balance. From that point the drawdown no longer trails, so you can keep growing the account without the loss limit moving up with it.

How it works

  • Maximum Loss Limit: 40% of the initial account size.
  • The drawdown trails your highest recorded balance.
  • Floating losses are included.
  • Balance and equity are monitored in real time.
  • Once you achieve 10% profit, the trailing drawdown stops.
  • The Maximum Loss Limit is then locked at your initial account balance.
  • The locked drawdown does not reset after payouts.

Example 1 — before profit lock

Initial account size: $10,000

Maximum Loss Limit: 40% = $4,000

Highest recorded balance: $11,500

Current trailing loss limit: $11,500 − $4,000 = $7,500

If your balance or equity falls below $7,500, the account is breached.

Example 2 — after profit lock

Initial account size: $10,000

Your account reaches $11,000 — that is 10% profit.

The trailing drawdown stops and the Maximum Loss Limit locks at $10,000.

From then on the drawdown no longer trails, and your balance or equity must never fall below $10,000.

Important

The Maximum Loss Limit includes both floating and closed losses. After the 10% profit lock activates, the drawdown stays fixed at the initial account balance and does not change after future profits or payouts.

Minimum Trading Days

To become eligible for a payout you must complete a minimum of four trading days. A trading day counts when at least one trade is opened and closed during that day.

There is no minimum profit requirement per trading day, and there is no consistency score.

Requirements

  • Minimum four trading days before submitting your first payout request.
  • Trades must comply with all account rules and risk limits.
  • There is no minimum daily profit target.
  • There is no consistency rule.

Example

Account size: $10,000

If you place your first trade on 1 September, you must trade on at least four separate days before requesting a payout:

Day 1 — 1 September · Day 2 — 3 September · Day 3 — 5 September · Day 4 — 8 September

Important

Trading days do not need to be consecutive. Only days with valid trading activity count. The Daily Loss Limit and Maximum Loss Limit apply throughout.

Payout

Minimum trading days for payout

A payout requires a minimum of four trading days, counted when at least one trade is opened and closed during that day. They do not need to be consecutive — complete them at your own pace while following all account rules.

Completing the minimum trading days alone does not guarantee a payout. All trading rules and risk management requirements must also be satisfied before a request is approved.

  • Minimum four trading days required.
  • Trading days do not have to be consecutive.
  • At least one completed trade is required for a day to count.
  • All account rules must be met before requesting a payout.
  • Payout requests are subject to manual review and approval.

Profit split

  • First payout: 50% profit split.
  • Maximum profit split: up to 80%.

Profit split upgrades may be offered based on account performance and company policy.

Payout processing

All payout requests are reviewed manually to confirm compliance with these rules. Once approved, payouts are processed using the payment method you selected.

Important

Requests submitted before the minimum trading day requirement is met will not be approved. Any violation of the trading rules may result in rejection of the request or termination of the account. GenZ Instant Funded reserves the right to review all trading activity before approving a payout. Fraudulent activity, prohibited trading practices or attempts to manipulate the system result in immediate termination and forfeiture of profits.

Biggest Loss Must Not Exceed Biggest Win

Your biggest loss on the account must not be greater than your biggest win. If your largest loss is bigger than your largest win, you keep trading until a single winning trade surpasses it.

  • Rule: your single largest losing trade must not exceed your single largest winning trade.
  • If violated: you continue trading — nothing is terminated.

Example

Biggest win: $1,000 · Biggest loss: $1,200

Because $1,200 is greater than $1,000, you keep trading until a single winning trade beats $1,200.

A following trade of $1,350 makes your biggest win $1,350 — above the $1,200 loss — and you become eligible for a payout.

The rule exists to keep risk and reward balanced, so one outsized loss cannot overshadow an otherwise sound trading record.
